About the event
Learn to see our beautiful home with new eyes through tasting the abundant wild foods we live amoung. You will learn to identify plants at your own pace with expert guidance from an experienced forager in a supportive group setting. Each fortnight we will recap previous plants to improve our understanding  and we will discover whatever new plants the seasons provide. We will learn to process the wild produce together and share recipies and ideas.
This is an all ages friendly circle, with lots of opportunity for discussion and questions. This is ideal for those with no previous knowledge of plants or wild food as well as improvers, but experts may find the slower pace incompatible.Â
For island residents only. To get tickets for foraging club you will need to become a member of Wild Food Arran or email me at zoe@wildfoodarran.com. You will get acces to an online discussion and photo sharing group to keep in touch with fellow foragers.
Foraging Circle runs every fortnight for one hours in Shiskine. The walking will be easy to moderate, but special requirements can be made with prior arrangement. Arran's weather is dramatic so be prepared with waterproofs and good shoes.Â
The walk will end at St Molio's church to join the Zero Waste Cafe for a drink, a snack and a blether about the walk. This is entirely optional, feel free to leave at the end of the walk. The cafe runs on cash donations so please bring some small change.
We will meet at 10:00 and explore the surrounding wild feast until 11:00 when we will join the Zero Waste Cafe.Â
